Accomodations

The cabin is located 4 miles north of Big Timber on State Highway 191 and 1.39 miles west on Swamp Creek Road.  

The address is 139 Swamp Creek Road.

This one-room log cabin was built in 1988.  

A built-in set of single bunk beds with mattresses could accommodate 2 people.  

Please bring your own sleeping bag and pillow, drinking and washing water.  

An outhouse is just a few steps away behind the cabin.

We may have some sheep pastured on the 46 acre property during the summer months.  

The cabin elevation is approximately 4,420 feet while Crazy Peak to the west rises to 11,214 feet.

Big Timber is located in south central Montana on Interstate 90 between Billings and Bozeman.  

Yellowstone Park is 60 air miles south of town.  

The nearby Absarokee Beartooth Wilderness Area and the Gallatin National Forest offer many opportunities for hiking, camping, and sightseeing.  

Big Timber has the warmest year around temperatures in the state of Montana.
